We can do it. We can sell it. What is the point of it. looking forward to guidelines!

Having Fun here. ARTO products are used in the built world, that means life is experienced around it. I hope that means fun.

I  am here. Actually per Google Maps I am 7.2 miles away.

Tomorrow I start to squeeze.

Squeeze the juice out of this opportunity. What is the opportunity?

At minimum connectivity of sales team to the back office. At maximum a real time looking glass in to all aspects of the business.

Actually the best scenario would be the ability to market every hair brain scheme I have and execute it.

Peace

Yes, if I had the ad money I would do something like this. For your staycation you need to frame your new big screen TV in your new media room with ARTOBRICK.

Howdy

My father on the path of creating Brick Veneer (thin brick) had a lot of influence from ceramics.  The first ARTO products were ceramic, extruded clay tile, very thin and put into commercial kilns. As a kid there seem to be a hundred kilns all lined up. There was probably only 20 or so.  My father kept on the path towards concrete and brought with him the aesthetics and art of ceramics.

I do find Ceramics nostalgic. It is among my first memories of my father.

All this to say a good friend of mine is having a show & sale on the 11th. His name is Doug Blechner (dougblechner.com)

As seen on TV: Ryan Brown of ‘Flipping Out’ puts down roots

Designer Ryan Brown has a fan and friend of ARTO for many years now.  Recently his home was featured in the Los Angeles Times along with the ARTO Roman Pavers in Early Gray that make up his garden path and pool coping.

Interior designer Ryan Brown, known as the voice of reason on the Bravo reality series “Flipping Out,” has made a living buying ugly duckling properties, turning them into beauties and selling them for profit. But as fans of “Flipping Out” know, Brown and his domestic partner, chef Dale Monchamp, had a daughter through a surrogate and wanted to put down roots. Two years ago they bought a 1942 two-story stucco house in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles

The yard was relandscaped to include a mosaic tile pool, an organic vegetable garden and a lawn with a concrete paver path from Arto Brick in Gardena. With extensive changes inside and out, the tab for renovations came to about $700,000. “I did it as inexpensively as possible to use the materials I wanted,” Brown says, adding that without his industry sources the cost would have run $1 million.

Dole Food Files IPO, Will Be Public Again – WSJ.com.

Kind of a bummer when I found out one of our competitors  is “DOLE”. I will still eat those pineapples.

I was Wrong, You are Wrong. I made a mistake, You made a mistake.

Mistake seems a bit more innocent. There is grace extended to someone when you say they made a mistake.

When you release a bad guy from jail is that a mistake or wrong?

LA COUNTY released a bad guy because of a paper work mix up is a mistake.

Releasing a murderer is Wrong

Vegetable Gardens Help Morale Grow – WSJ.com.

You usually see government officials at car plants or farms, in mainstream businesses.  It is weird to see them in one’s own industry. More here.

Arto is now charging for pallets, as we have grown we have had a need to get consistent quality pallets. Since the beginning we have been keeping prices low by asking our neighboring dealers to bring pallets. Here is what they look like.

Arto has completed the purchase of ColorCastnational.com .  They bring over 250 dealers and a great line of pool coping and wall cap.

Will sent me this link. The emphasis on Green should be tied to Greed. Why, “conservation” is the key not just a small carbon foot print.

San Francisco’s Green Building Nightmare

Arto and crew have been going here since the sixties. Here is the LA Times Story link

Here is a very old school advertisement. I saw it at Bourget Bros. Someone highlighted “Hostesses” .

Gardena, CA: Arto Manufacturing Company is proud to announce our membership in the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).  The USGBC is a non-profit organization created to promote environmentally sustainable design and building practices and is responsible for the creation and development of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.

Using the LEED system architects, builders, and owners can apply for project certification based on prerequisites and performance benchmarks in a range of categories.  Projects are awarded Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum certifications depending upon the number of credits received.  Arto products can help secure LEED credits in the following categories:

  • Regional Materials
  • Recycled Materials
  • Heat Island Effect Reduction
  • Storm Water Runoff Reduction
  • Innovation Credits

LEED certification is expanding rapidly and is now an important consideration for architects, real estate professionals, facility managers, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, construction managers, lenders, government officials, and other building industry professionals.

KCTV5 News, Weather, Traffic and Sports for the Kansas City Area B-52 Mistakenly Drops Bombs on Nearby Lake: “Jordan said the bombs, all of which apparently hit the water, were filled with concrete, not explosives, and didn’t pose a threat to the public.”

The bombs were safe because they were filled with concrete and only could have crushed the swimmers.

Thats the connection, concrete bombs

That’s right you can not trust everything you are sent via email or read on a website. Arto Brick is of course an exception to this rule. The information I broadcast/distributed was not something I made up. I copy and pasted, straight from the HGTV website.. Well ..

the background of the above statement is that my show did not air when it was to.

If I get my act together I will discuss the great adventure I had with Arto Grandchildren in a pursuit of an air compressor

Well there is one more I just found out about.
It is Called reDeisgn

It will first air tomorrow below is the list of air times.

The front page of our site was getting a little stale. At first I impressed myself with the leanness. I had created it before everyone including myself had some version of broadband. So I designed it to load fast to get the point across. Now things have changed and I can add more content to the front page. This is the first installment. The content will focus on…. solutions to job requirements, for example, “what can I use for pool coping”, “what are my options for a step”, and “what can I use for a wall cap”. You get the idea, a distribution point to send you off to the product you are looking for instead of maybe finding a product as you skim our pages.

Thank you for your time.
